Being a a social scientist and ethnographer means to be fascinated by people. Thus, when I visit museums and touristic sights, I always find myself observing the way people walk around the space, take pictures, and look at images as much as the very setting and art objects around. Following this professional deviation — a form of spontaneous ethnography — I decided to create an instagram account to collect some of these images. They might not have much photographic value, but I think they showcase some (fun) scenes of social life. It is also a way to illustrate the craft of ethnography which entails focusing on the (ordinary) way in which people themselves deal with situations and orient their attention.
