PDW Classics of
Organization and Management Theory
Starting in 2018 I have organized a workshop at the Academy of Management (AOM) annual conference about classics in organization and management theory. The goal of the event is to spark reflections on the relevance of earlier scholarship for current academic work.

It featured presentations by Steve Barley on the work of the Chicago School tradition of study on work and occupations; Gina Dokko on traditions of research into employment and careers; Ingrid Erickson on the Computer Supported Collaborative Work tradition; and Davide Nicolini on the Tavistock Institute and associated socio-technical systems tradition

It includes presentations by Gino Cattani on James D. Thompson; Sarah Kaplan on Joan Woodward; and Signe Vikkelso on Tavistock and Socio-Technical Systems.
